The Czech republic has been chosen as the host country for the world-renowned Frankfurt Book Fair in the year 2026. Its motto, derived from a play by none other than William Shakespeare, provides an imaginative juxtaposition that this project heavily builds upon.
From a visual standpoint, this work attempts to challenge the viewer while exploring the unique mechanics of imagination and the ability of books to delve into otherworldly themes.
The overall goal of this project is to establish a clear visual style for the book fair, featuring distinct typography that represents both the motto and the hosting country. In addition to a series of posters, this visual style has been applied to various examples of merchandise.
